Aaron Mitchell is the founder and managing attorney of Mitchell Law Offices, LLC and a Montana native whose legal career reflects disciplined preparation, strategic insight, and a relentless commitment to client success. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology, along with a Professional Certificate in Forensic Sciences, from the University of Montana. During his undergraduate studies, Aaron was selected to participate in the National Student Exchange Program at the University of New Mexico and interned with the Victim’s Advocate Division of the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office, where he gained early, hands on exposure to the realities of the criminal justice system and the profound impact legal advocacy has on people’s lives.

Aaron went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law. While in law school, he externed with the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Albuquerque, further refining his litigation skills and courtroom presence. After passing the New Mexico Bar, he joined that same office as a prosecutor, where he handled a wide range of cases including domestic violence, DWI, traffic offenses, and other misdemeanor matters. This experience provided him with a deep, practical understanding of how cases are evaluated, charged, negotiated, and tried, insight that now gives his clients a decisive strategic advantage.

In 2021, Aaron founded Mitchell Law Offices, LLC with the clear vision of building a premier, client focused law firm dedicated to high caliber representation and uncompromising standards of excellence across New Mexico. What began as a solo practice has grown into a highly respected firm known for aggressive advocacy, meticulous preparation, and unmatched responsiveness. As the founder and leader of the firm, Aaron personally oversees every case handled by the firm, ensuring that each client receives strategic direction, honest counsel, and direct attorney involvement at every stage of representation. Trey Mitchell was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana, alongside his older brother, Aaron. He graduated with honors from the University of Montana with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology before pursuing his legal education at the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he graduated in December 2025.

Throughout law school, Trey distinguished himself through his sharp analytical ability, forward thinking approach, and natural aptitude for the practice of law. He excelled particularly in trial practice and litigation focused coursework, where his ability to analyze complex legal issues, anticipate opposing arguments, and craft persuasive strategies consistently set him apart. Upon becoming licensed, Trey will spearhead the firm’s civil department while also actively handling criminal cases. Darlene is a proud New Mexico native who graduated in Spring 2025 with high honors from the University of New Mexico, earning her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Already deeply familiar with the values and work of Mitchell Law Offices LLC, she has immersed herself in the firm’s mission: providing strategic, reputable advocacy, delivering top-tier legal defense every time. As a Legal Assistant, Darlene is consistently praised for being exceptionally knowledgeable, quick to understand complex issues, and always ready to aid both attorneys and clients alike.
